In the studio

This music production involved a large amount of creativity having scenes filmed in my bedroom which has an aim of creating a natural feel to the audience as well as adding clips from abroad in aesthetic environments. My aim is Authenticity

Creative choices

For the tools I used to create my art were simple yet effective which relates to my key aim of Authenticity no matter how big the production is. With capcut pro I explored various editing techniques such as filters, transitions and even enhancing the overall quality. For each scene I adjusted my mise en scene to the lyrics. For example during my nightmare scene 2:10 (timestamp) of my video I slowed the song down to 0.8 which shows the shift in my mindset of money and greed changing up the vibe. I then sped it up to match the lyrics of the December scene to my music video. For the nightmare scene I purposely using dark lighting with hints of red from the laptop and tank which created the perfect scene for the nightmare. Overall i focused on flashy visuals while keeping it simple at the same time...

Inspiration

My inspiration from this music piece is from the award winning show called Snowfall. This story consists of a young ethnic male who is ambitious and reaches highs to where he becomes dirty rich. However the ending shows his downfall and all the people he fucked over including his family where my music piece PRIDE plays at the end of the episode.

Collaboration in the Studio

I did not and could not do this alone. I hired actors to play certain roles such as the friend and the lover. We had recieved an initial high budget from Universal Music Studtios which made it possible to film scenes in luxury holiday locations and in expensive cars.

Outcome and Intention

I wanted to overall show my audience how money and ambition is not the end goal, it's the people around you, who are there for you.

That's real success.

My music video warns young ambitious individuals that ambition is nothing when pride come and destroys it.
